We are the student run sound crew at West Tech. If an event has a microphone, a speaker, or music, we are the ones running it.
Who we are
A club where you actually run the gear.
AV Club is a student run team at West Tech. We handle the sound for school events like assemblies, plays, rallies and club nights.
You do not need to know anything about sound to join. Everyone starts by helping out and learning from the members who have done it before. There is no tryout.

What we do
Sound first. Some visual work too.
Most of what we do is audio. Here is the short list.
Live sound
Running the mixing board, speakers and stage sound for events.
Microphones
Setting up handheld, clip-on and headset mics, and keeping them working.
Music
DJing and playing music for dances, rallies and lunch events.
Setup and cleanup
Carrying gear in, running cables, and packing everything up after.
Projectors and screens
Getting slides and videos on the screen so they actually show up.
Photos and video
Taking pictures and video at the events we work, for the club album.
We do not do livestreams or TV-style video production. If your event needs that, let us know early so it can be planned with the school.
